Phone mutes other people when I speak

Hello - I am having an issue with Facetime on both my Mac and iPhone 12.

When I am FaceTiming someone and I speak, the other person's volume cuts out. This is irritating, especially when there's a lot of background noise on my end, which totally disrupts the conversation.

I have seen numerous threads on this but no actual solution. I have tried:

  • Disabling Phone Noise Cancellation
  • Disabling Add Voice Isolation
  • Disabling Auto Ducking

None of these have worked. This issue has persisted across WiFi networks as well.

What should I do? Thanks in advance for the help.
