I would like emojis to be as they were - way too big now.
The addition of new large emojis duplicated & displayed first is extremely annoying!

Apple is not the creator if these emojis. So, rather than rumbling about this through the Apple forums, you need to make a proposal for ridding of one or more to The Unicode Consortium. Go Here: Submitting Emoji Proposals - Unicode. Though, I’m not so certain they would ever trash one.
As you install updates, more are added. Diversity plays a big role in the quantities of what is available. So, it may be a lighter or darker tone, but the same emoji.
