GarageBand support for obsolete mid-2011 iMac

I have an older iMac (mid-2011) now obsolete to support GarageBand b/c it's 10.3.6. What is the cost-effective way to go to update my system so I have GarageBand for audio recording purposes?

Garageband I have a MacBook Pro late 2011 and I just updated it to high Sierra 10.12.6 and I'm trying to download GarageBand, but it says that I need a newer version of Mac OS. Am I able to get an older version of GarageBand that compatible with high Sierra 10.12.6 and if so, how would I go about doing that?
