Bose 700 Home Kit

I have paired my Bose 700 bar and sub to home kit as my first accessory. I have no plans to play this music away from home, regardless it appears everything connected but it says no music available on my phone. I have been told if you’re home you don’t need a bridge. I have a home pod mini coming but I just want to practice and get it to connect from my phone. Device is paired and it says controls not available. When it see seems to easy it is. Keep in mind my Apple Music Subscription quite daily. It either believes it’s connected to two devices at once despite turning everything but the Max off. On my phone it pulls up a hollowed out no art song and it says no controls available. It’s pointless to try on the Mac, I can just Bluetooth it. It is constantly trying to sell me a home pod. I keep seeing I need one it’s on the way, but seems Like this speaker should be no big deal. I paired and got to “no controls”
