Can't access my music on my laptop.

I used to access my music through the iTunes app on my laptop. When I try to access my music it now says I can only get through the Apple Music or TV apps. When I open the Apple TV app my music is not visible although all my music is shown on my laptop through File Explorer. What's going on as I can't access my own music or the ones I have purchased, on my laptop? My desktop computer does show my library and is fully accessible through the iTunes app.
