Inconsistent ringing and notifications on new iPhone

My phone will not ring or most notifications. I’ve checked volume, DoNotDisturb, Focus, volume control, etc. If it rings there’s no pattern or consistency. I need to check/correct EVERY option. Please HELP. I bought this new phone because no one could help me figure out this same problem with the other iPhone!

Help for Notification Alerts --> No Notification Alerts - Apple Community
To turn ON notifications selectively for apps, go to Settings > Notifications > Scroll Down to the App and turn ON notifications... Change notification settings on iPhone - Apple Support (IN)
Some apps have their own notification settings over and above the iOS notification settings: An example of Instagram Notification settings is given below
