CD's ripped and uploaded get deleted.

I have spent days ripping music from legitimate music CD's I own. I have uploaded them to my phone and twice now...in the last few months, Apple will remove them or make them "unavailable." How do they have the right to do this to my music I have paid for and own?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 18

Well, first, you paid for the CD, not the music. However, if you rip the CD to iTunes (or Music with newer Macs) it should remain on the computer until you delete it (which you should never do, because it will no longer be available to re-sync to your iOS device). You can then sync it to your iOS device by cable and it should remain, unless you subscribe to Apple Music, and then cancel the subscription. In that case you need to sync your iOS device from your computer again.
