Why is my iPhone 16 Pro Max screen unresponsive?

Brand new iPhone 16 pro max. Typing on this is miserable, especially in the messages app. Texting is borderline unusable. It is completely missing inputs in the keyboards and entire words are missing. I typed this on my iPhone and it’s taking me so long. My 13 pro max that I upgraded from is significantly better.

This is day 1 of posting here until it is fixed. How has it not been fixed yet?
