iPhone 16 Pro Max overheating and battery draining quickly after iOS 18.2 update

This is the first time I’ve bought an Apple phone, and I deeply regret it. After updating to iOS 18.2, the phone overheats within five minutes of use to the point where you can’t even hold it. The battery drains so quickly, even when I’m not using it. My previous phone was a very basic brand, and I used it for three years without these issues. I’m truly disappointed.

After an update, certain related tasks including indexing may continue in the background, in which you may experience an increased battery drain and thermal temperature. When the update is fully complete, your iPhone will return to normal conditions.
