Locating lost iPhone with IMEI number

That is only possible using the FindMy app. Of course you would need to have it turned on before it was lost and your IMEI number will be no use in tracking your iPhone. That is the purpose of the Find My app.

As stated, you cannot use the IMEI to track your iPhone, only Find My. Only your carrier can do so, in which they have a court order or when someone’s life is in imminent danger.

You cannot. If you read the responses here you will see you need to use Find My to do it.
