iCloud Photos - can't see toolbar or a way to view Shared Albums

It should be possible (it used to be possible?) to view Shared Albums in the Photos section of iCloud on the web. Apple's own advice - View your iCloud Shared Photo Library on iCloud.com - Apple Support (CA) - says to "Click the pop-up menu in the Photos toolbar." and gives a screenshot showing what should appear (attached). But when I logon to iCloud and display the Photos page, I see nothing I could click (screenshot attached). Does anyone know what I'm not seeing, or if the feature has been deprecated, or if I should have enabled something first, or...?

Thanks.

Hi léonie.

Thank you, but this seems to contradict what Apple themselves say. From the link to their support page that I posted is this statement:

After you set up or join an iCloud Shared Photo Library on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac (iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, or later required), you can view it in Photos on iCloud.com.

I believe I have done those things, so how can I see my shared library in iCloud.com?

Here's a screenshot of what I see when I login to iCloud and choose the Photos app.

Please post a screenshot showing where to click to see my shared album.

Thanks.

The moderators have edited my post to remove personal information. However, that information was posted publicly on Apple's own website in the link I gave, so it was nothing related to me.

In the process of editing my post they have moved the headers. The first photo (with the username redacted) is what Apple posted. The second photo (of a Chrome incognito window) is what I see.

Thanks.

Greg, the Shared iCloud Photos Library is a different section of iCloud from the Shared Albums. Shared album do not use your subscription for iCloud storage and are not a part of your iCloud Photos Library.

You can see your own standard albums, the albums you created in your iCloud Photos Library, when you view your iCloud Photos Library on the web - just click the > to the left of "Albums" in the sidebar.

But any Shared album you create will only be visible, when you publish it as a public website and use the link to the public website.
