If your MacBook Air's hardware model year is …

• Early 2015 or 2017 – Monterey is the end of the line.
• 2018 or 2019 – You can update it to Ventura or Sonoma, but not to Sequoia.
• 2020 or 2022 – You can update it to Ventura, Sonoma, or Sequoia.
