I recently gave away my iPad to a niece, which I previously used for reading ebooks, specifically epubs that I'd download from AO3 or similar, and read using the Books app. Is there any way I can access them without an Apple device now?

I meant redownload them from the place where you originally got them.
Can you perhaps just redownload them to your windows machine, and use some windows ebook reader to read then there?
I had that assumption too, but icloud doesnt seem to have an option to download ebooks that it stores.
There's hundreds. This is not the solution I'm looking for.
