Change video from landscape to portrait and change resolution

I have a video that was created on an iPhone. I want to uploade it to an app but they only accept those recorded in portrait mode. It looks like 16:9 (720*1280) Does OS X have a built in way to convert a video from landscape to portrait and change it's dimensions?

iMove app preview export maximum resolution of 608 * 1080 I wanted to crop a vertical video from a horizontal video. I used App Preview in iMovie which worked perfectly. But when I export the video the resolution is 608 * 1080. Is it possible to export the video on as 1080 * 1920?

Stabilizing video within MacOS Photos Stabilizing a Video can be done with iMovie, but it is rather cumbersome to first export a video from Photos, then import it into iMovie, create a project and export it as a new movie. Then import it into Photos. There should be an easier way - maybe with a 3rd party app?
