Just updated to IOS 18.2 and the edit button at the top of emails is missing and I can no longer select all or delete all emails on my iPad (7th gen). I have looked everywhere to no avail, so I do not think it has been moved. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a fix? Or do we just have to wait for Apple….?

If you have mail categories switched on (primary, transactions, updates, promotions), just swipe the cards to the left (one finger swipe works) to reveal ‘All Mail’.
Click “Select” in the top right corner.
You then see the “Select All” option on the left, like you used to have.
It wasn’t obvious that there was one more category available.
As well with looking at the trash folder, there is no longer the option to select all and empty the trash all at once.
Hopefully this is just an oversight(bug)
We have the select button but it no longer gives you the option to “select all”. This means you have to go one by one. Not convenient at all when you have multiple mailboxes.
I have the same issue after updating. Have you any fix yet ?

Come on Apple fix it now, or are your highly paid tec employees not up to the job.
The two finger swipe works! Thank you very much. I get hundreds of emails a day. Deleting them individually is not an option.

Use two fingers - not one - and swipe...
my iPad keeps losing the ‘edit’ in the inboxes so i cannot select mail to delete. Some days I have the ‘edit’ command. Some days it’s missing.
yep! perfect!! worked!!!
When I hit select/all/trash, the phone freezes and when I close and reopen the app, all the messages are still there.
Deleted yesterday emails and messages return to my inbox box today Either fix this or I am getting rid of all Apple products
