I have upgraded my iCloud storage with Apple to 2 TB. I have less than 1 TB on my iPhone 15 Pro.
my iPhone will not back up to the cloud.
any suggestions?

What happens when you try? Do you see an error message? Are you connected to wi-fi? See this for help. If you can't back up to iCloud - Apple Support
Patience really is a virtue. After trying six times, on WiFi, fully charged but still plugged in, my iPhone backed up to the cloud. I didn’t do anything different , except post the question here. Guess it’s like taking your car to the mechanic to be fixed, and nothing is wrong with it.
