Accesibility: Homepod gen1 pair, not reacting to balance

I have a pair of original HomePods and an appleTV 4K gen3. I can't change the balance in the apple TV Accessibility menu. The slide moves but nothing happens in the actual balance. All devices ar updated to 18.2

Home Pod 2 as stereo pair appear unbalanced depending on source. I have two HomePod 2 speakers set up as a stereo pair, linked to an Apple TV 4K. Set up through home app. If I play streaming radio, from Apple Music (TuneIn radio) the left hand speaker is dominant and I have to up the volume on the right speaker to balance. If playing TV, with the Apple TV connecting to the TV device, the right hand becomes dominant and I have to manually balance the left hand speaker. If I turn up the volume in either case the lack of balance appears to lessen. What’s going on?

Homepod 2 volume won't decrease all the way I have a Homepod stereo pair in the living room with an Apple TV 4K (3rd Gen) but the volume won't decrease all the way with the remote. When we press the volume down button on the remote the volume bar appears and we can decrease the volume until the bar is empty but there's still very audible noise coming from the speakers. What can we do to adjust this so that we have better control of the volume? All devices are currently up to date (16.6).

One homepod shuts off when it looks like im sleeping Hi. So I’ve noticed the last two night that when I go to sleep with the Apple TV on the HomePod that’s closest to my head turns off and the HomePod furtherest from me projects the sound away from me if that makes sense. This is extremely annoying as it sounds like someone is in my room. I have no idea what or where the settings are to stop this. I also want to know how is it monitoring that I’m not paying attention anymore. I don’t like the idea that somehow I’m being watched. My TV is 4K 2nd Gen and HomePod 2 in stereo. All have the 16.5. HomePods just updated to 16.6 as I’m writing this. thanks.
