I’ve been having incredible trouble with iMessage since updating the 18.2 on T-Mobile. Try this in case it works for you: it did not work for me:

  • Navigate to settings/apps/messages Turn iMessage off, if it is not already
  • Turn the phone off using slide to turn off.
  • Navigate to settings/apps/messages
  • Turn iMessage on,
  • wait for activation

if this doesn’t work, try a hard reset rather than a slide to turn off. To do this, on most modern iPhones, press the following three keys in quick succession, and hold the last one:

  • up volume button
  • down volume button
  • Press and hold power button, until you see an apple sign

I have tried this, as well as signing out of iCloud entirely, which takes many steps and significant time investment if you have stolen device protection on. and it still hasn’t worked for me,

other things to try:

Then try doing this on Wi-Fi, and then with Wi-Fi off.

I’m pursuing escalated customer technical support from T-Mobile next, probably unlinking my eSIM and re-linking it.

good luck!
