Sleep Focus not silencing all text notifications in iOS 18 on iPhone 11

Hello, I have had this issue of trying to silence notifications since probably the change to different "Focus" modes after this became an update from regular "do not disturb" or "silent" mode.

So sometimes, when I have this setup to silence all apps or texts notifications, some of the texts come through via the sound notifications. I would like to know if somebody has found a way to silence them. I have an iPhone 11.

Please look at your settings...

Repeated Calls: If someone calls you twice within three minutes, the second call isn't silenced.

Please see the pic below which is self-explanatory

You have allowed certain notifications to bypass Do Not Disturb. By default, phone calls, text messages, and FaceTime calls will still ring or vibrate when Do Not Disturb is on. However, you can also allow other notifications to bypass Do Not Disturb by going to Settings > Focus> Do Not Disturb > Allow Notifications and selecting the apps and contacts that you want to be able to notify you even when Do Not Disturb is turned on.
You have enabled System Haptics. System Haptics provides haptic feedback for certain actions, such as when you touch and hold an app icon or scroll through a list. Even if Do Not Disturb is on, your iPhone will still vibrate for System Haptics if you have enabled it. To disable System Haptics, go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics and turn off System Haptics.

i had spoken to apple support, and for me, they had me turn off critical alerts in the message app. currently, i do not have anymore messages bypassing the focus mode.

Hello, thank you for your reply. In my case, that specific setting does not allow any application to bypass the focus mode. It also is not a ring or vibrate persay, but I am not sure if it is not related to the haptics settings.

Sometimes I would reply to a group text (while messages is silenced), then occasionally a message will have a sound notification. My phone is not ringing or vibrating, but it does send the sound notification occasionally if i reply to the silent group text or MMS.

I am also having issues. I select do not disturb at bedtime. I have my family in the silence notifications from,as I want them to be able to call for emergency. But i now get texts getting past do not disturb! How do i set it to be able to select do not disturb, and no calls or texts from anyone but, my family can repeat call & get me?

why has this been made so complicated apple?

Hello, I had tried an option on this to "haptics: do not play in silent mode." should this not work for silencing repeated texts in silent mode?
