How to uninstall Image Playground

You can't delete an app that is included with macOS. Just don't use it.

If you mean the Image Playground on the App Store, that is not from Apple. Image Playground comes with Sequoia on compatible Macs.

As I said, if you are referring to the Image Playground installed with Sequoia, it cannot be deleted.

This is how things work when you're dealing with operating systems. You don't own the operating system. Apple does. You simply have a license to use the operating system. If you don't want to use Image Playground, just don't use it. Otherwise, it takes up a whopping 2.2mb of space, which is virtually nothing.

I suggest you read the terms of use for this forum. And no, neither dialabrain, nor I deleted anything. We are users just like you are a user. Only the Forum Hosts can remove posts and they remove them for violating the Terms of Use.

You’re right, Apple owns the OS, but I own my computer, and Apple doesn’t give me the choice to switch over to Ubuntu or Mint OS anymore like with the machines prior to 2020. I am just annoyed because they keep adding software I don’t need or use.

Then tell Apple you're annoyed. Kind of pointless telling only other users on this user to user only forum. Apple doesn't read here for user feedback.

Takes to much space

Wasn't included, I installed it separately. I'm sorry I did.

Just to add, the Image Playground on the App Store is approximately 38 times larger than Apple's.

so why can’t I delete it? Very annoying, especially on this 24” Mac where you can’t upgrade strange. You should be able to delete anything you don’t use!

If you installed the one from the App Store, you can uninstall it.

Otherwise I’m stuck with it?

If you feel it's unacceptable, feel free to switch to a different OS such as Linux.
