Apple Intelligence Stuck on Downloading (M1 Mac Studio)

Hi, Apple Intelligence in system settings seems to be stuck on Downloading for a couple of days now. I saw a suggestion to try changing the Siri language but when I try to select a language under Siri Requests I get: "Settings Error" Extension process(3544) exited.

Any suggestions to un-stuck this process would be appreciated.

Apple intelligence stuck at 100% complete downloading I updated my macOS to 15.2 this morning from a developer beta version. The Apple Intelligence was working for the first 5 minutes, but then it disappeared and Siri went back to the old Siri. I found in the settings that it is downloading support for Apple Intelligence. However, after 2 hours wait, it is still stuck at 100% complete. Anyone has the same experience as this? How do you solve it?

Apple Intelligence download stuck on macOS 15.2 I updated macOS this week when the official launch came of Sequoia 15.2 because I wanted to get the new Apple Intelligence features. I also updated my iPad at the same time. Within a few hours my iPad had downloaded the Apple Intelligence models and I was able to use the features. On my M1 MacBook Pro - which I have checked is connected to a fast fibre wifi connection (not a hotspot or cellular data) and has been left plugged in to charge (as per instructions) it has been stuck on "Downloading..." for several days now (in the panel in System Settings for "Apple Intelligence & Siri"). I have rebooted a few times. What else can I do? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

MacBook Pro M3 OS 15.1 stuck "preparing" Apple Intelligence I’ve had my new MacBook Pro M3 for a week now and upgraded to macOS 15.1. Ever since installing 15.1, I’ve been stuck in a perpetual “preparing” state for Apple Intelligence. I’ve tried everything recommended—restarting countless times in both regular and safe mode, changing the language and voice settings multiple times—nothing works. I’ve read posts from others experiencing the same issue, with some spending hours on the phone with support, only to find there’s no actual fix. Apple, what’s going on? This feels like a major misstep, especially with reports of strange message summaries, severe slowdowns, and constant indexing issues. Please release a genuine solution or at least acknowledge the problem so I can stop wasting time trying to activate it.

Apple M3, Sequoia 15.1.1.

I have been waiting for Apple AI beta for over a month. It still says "Preparing". I recently saw a posting about insuring the Siri and device languages were equal. When I try to select a Siri language, I get this error message:

"Extension process Siri(38801) exited."
