Apple News fails to load after iOS 18.2 install on 7 Gen iPad. Tried deleting and reinstalling news app, resetting network settings, pausing VPN, and a full reset, all without success. Any tips would be appreciated.

Same exact problem on iPad after 18.2 upgrade - mine is a paid Apple News account. Has anyone heard of a resolution to this bug?
Same thing just worked for me, after I’d deleted and reloaded app and it still wasn’t loaded. My iCloud setting was off.I turned it on, then back off. Working now. (I don’t want anything from News on my cloud)
I’ve canceled my subscription and asked for a refund because it “doesn’t work as expected” (at all). I’ve tried several of the fixes but nothing seems to work for mor than an hour or so.
if enough of us cancel and ask for refunds, that would get their attention!

Other comments discussed not closing the app - doesn’t matter, fail, fail, fail (see my other posts in other threads of same topic) - I’ve tried mostly everything and never used a VPN.

I have previously contacted Apple support regarding this issue. We discussed and they made suggested troubleshooting tests and suggested fixes without success.
I then followed the instructions listed by RCF001, and was successful!

Like many others, these re-install instructions worked for a while, but then Apple News lapsed back to the endless spinner. So I repeated the instructions and that re-established Apple News. And then I tried one more step that seemed to make the fix last longer.

Thanks for confirming. This seems to be very specific to standard iPads.
Mine (iPad 7-Gen) just started working after 2 days not. I had tried all suggestions in this thread and more, to no effect. Then is just started working on its own. So, IDK.
Join the party! Tried it all. Some times walking away from it may load. Yes I have a paid subscription!😡

After latest update Apple News will not load! I’ve tried everything from deleting app and reloading to changing settings. It’s very frustrating.
I spoke too soon. After working for 36 hours - it's frozen again.
No, updating your IOS does not solve the problem.
