Installed Sequoia 151.1 and now many Apple Books will not open

Since installing Sequoia 151.1 many of my Apple Books will not open.

After opening Apple Books and going to Library, Books, a number of books present for years were labeled "new" in the lower left corner. They will not open.

Others had a percentage (download?) but they open and are readable.

Deleted one of the "new" books and download again hoping might fix the problem. It appeared on books with a new simplified green cover and different script. It too would not open.

Help?
