Scam number

Is 1-***-***-**** a good apple support number for me to contact concerning my account?? I am getting a text and email about some charges

Yup, got this today, too, just now. Latest scam. Haven't seen this one before today, but it's similar to the "you have an issue with a USPS parcel that requires immediate attention" and to call a scam number. Of course, I don't have Apple Pay, so it's easy for me to recognize this one as a scam when they say there was an Apple Pay charge!
