My 2013 mac mini has to be rebooted daily it seems, when using the HDMI output to my 55in LG TV. Any ideas?

My 2013 mac mini/OS Catalina has to be rebooted daily it seems, when using the HDMI output to my LG TV.

I turn off the TV at night, but leave the Mac Mini on.

The next day I'll turn on the TV and there's just black screen. Sometimes the mouse appears, sometimes not.

The only way to get the Mac Mini display back is to reboot it. Hot plugging the HDMI cable doesn't fix the issue.

The Mac Mini is not set to sleep, and all energy settings are offetc, so not sure what the issue is but it's really annoying. Someone said something about a handshake, but no idea where that might be in the settings of either device.
