Logic Pro 11.1 Playhead Problem

Since I updated Logic Pro to 11.1 I am having a problem with the playhead not scrolling. Sometimes it work, but more often than not the playhead will follow for a few beats and then freeze (although I can still hear the track playing). I have enabled the "Catch" button, however, it still gets stuck. When this happens I also notice that the "Close Project" function will not work and I have to use the "Close" function. I have tried booting it down and restarting and sometimes that works but most often it doesn't. This did not happen prior to updating to 11.1. Please help. Thanks!
