Logic Po X Project are gone after having to reset my laptop

I recently was experiencing some issues with my laptop, which had me reset my laptop. I have been backing up my Logic projects into a Lacie hard drive, I created a copy of them into the hard drive. After resetting my laptop, my hard drive was empty. I cannot find any of my projects anywhere on the laptop.

Logic Pro X won't show "Recent" projects For a while now, when I open up Logic Pro X, it won't show any of my recent projects in the menu. I have to manually search for the files to open them. how to restore Logic Pro projects on new Mac from backup My iMac died. I have a new MacBook Pro. I installed Logic Pro and all my sound libraries on my laptop (fresh install). I have a Time Machine backup of my dead iMac. I have retrieved all of the files I could think of off that backup drive and saved them to an external SSD. One thing I grabbed was my main Music folder and it's saved on the SSD. I haven't moved anything onto the internal hard drive since I'm wanting to save things externally. My sound library is now also on the external drive SSD instead of internal (which is a change I'm making with the new laptop). Logic works. I could create a new project and run with it. But I wanted to make sure my old tracks work before I did. I was also trying to find my template so I could use it. And I discovered the logic projects I have saved do not open. Is it because they need to be in the right place in my internal hard drive and not on the SSD? Am I supposed to use Save As to move projects to an external hard drive? Are there additional files (system files, preferences, settings) in different folders in my backup that I need to retrieve/restore before my old projects will run on this machine? I'm worried I may have lost all my work. Please help.

what to do before you update to Logic Pro 11 Backup your mac. And keep a copy of your current version of Logic Pro in another location. Giving it a name like Logic Pro 10.8 You might want to create a new folder for your Logic Pro 11 projects. This will help you keep the projects create, or saved from Logic 11 separated from your Logic 10 projects. If you open one of your Logic Pro 10 projects with Logic Pro 11, you should immediately perform a Save As for the project, maybe giving it slightly different name, like: Jazzwork-11 and save it in your new project folder. New software often has bugs, or a some changes that might make it difficult to work on your older, or current projects with Logic Pro 11. By creating a new folder and version of your project you will still be able to open you older projects with Logic 10, if, or should I say when something goes with the new version.

What do you mean by "resetting"? What have you done?

Even if you accidentally wiped the hard drive of your computer, the projects should be on your external Lacie disk.
