Voices of my iPhone 14 Pro Max, Is my iPhone compromised?

My iPhone 14 Pro Max was locked laying next to me, with screen down. Suddenly 2 male voices started coming out of the phone. Whispering saying something ineligible, when grabbed the phone and placed it in front of my face the voices laughed and said “shhh..” , I assumed they not only heard me but could see me also. It lasted a couple of minutes. Next day I received an sms (not a phone call) with a recorded voice message from one of my contacts caller ID. The voice was different, talking with someone, saying something ineligible again and also saying “shh..” When I called back my contact said they didn’t send any messages and when I wanted to show the left msg on my phone - it was not there anymore! It disappeared . Someone deleted it from my phone. I checked all my apps, no new ones, everything looks good.

Has my phone been hacked? Was all those people hackers? Or what was it? I never thought it would be possible. Honestly, it was creepy and scary. Were they just playing or do they have an ability to do a serious harm to my phone and through my phone? Please help.
