IOS 18 - Podcast order changes keep getting undone

After my upgrade to IOS 18, I find that when I reorder the podcasts in my queue, they often revert back to the order they were in when I started. I've seen some workarounds (like closing the app after every change) but this seems extreme. Why would the order re-set itself this frequently? Is there a setting I need to update? TIA

Podcasts play order Ever since IOS 16, I am unable to play podcasts in newest to oldest order. - only oldest to newest. I have tried changing the order in Settings but it has no effect. Anyone experienced the same issue and knowhow to fix it? Thanks

How can I change the order of podcasts in the Up Next queue? Podcasts determines the order that individual episodes are added to my iPhone (ios 17.3) Podcasts queue. Is it possible to rearrange this order? Maybe I'm not in the mood to listen to the next show/episode and I want to drag the episodes around to customize the playlist order. Am I missing something? Maybe I need to return to Pocket Casts since this is a feature I use all the time.
