BBC Radio Stations on HomePod Mini
I've spent a very frustrating afternoon trying to get our new HomePod Mini to play BBC Radio stations, it's the only reason we bough the HomePod instead of an internet radio. We live in an area of the UK with poor FM and DAB signals. The BBC guidance is practically non existent. After lots of attempts, unbelievably it seems to have worked, I'm not very good at tech, but here's what I did... basically follow a couple of Youtube video's which gave the basics...watch
Two difficulties, one finding the 'media' to select the playback destination, this was in the blue little buttons (Scripting, Controls, Device etc), below 'search action' on my iPhone, swipe left and 'media' will appear
The second was that after setting up the shortcut it would only work after I had deleted the 'Shortcuts' App (the programme thing) and then reinstalled it through the App Store, my Radio Two and Radio Four shortcuts were still there and worked. I'd also renamed them, so rather than 'Play Radio 4' it reads 'Radio Four' and the Siri command was then, 'Hey Siri, Radio Four' and after avfew seconds Siri announced 'done' and it worked :)
It may be different for you, but worth a try.
