iphone doesnt receive text verifications from any website

Ever since the 18.1 update, I have not been able to receive any verification codes from any site. I get them obviously to my email but sometimes that it’s not an option. I have tried everything.

My number is correct on every site that is asking for two-step verification, but it is not coming in. I have restarted my phone, reset network settings, campaign checked all settings and everything is correct.

As far as blocked websites, they aren’t blocked.

Just a thought …

… it might appear that it was AT&T who was unprepared for the updated OS rollout.

I often see “Updating Carrier Settings” from my own carrier after OS updates. This is the type of issues that Carriers are to pro-actively prevent.

Problem solved!

Went to an Apple associated store. Turns out in Settings/Messages/RCS needed to be turned on. Not sure why this is not automatic, but we turned it on and it never activated.. We were waiting forever we tried everything so we called AT&T, which took an hour and 45 minutes to get somebody on the phone who didn’t know what they were doing and had to put us on with somebody else and then it took another 40 minutes to get it activated.

I really wish that Apple would have this built into the phone, which is what you would think since they announce this whole thing about RCS and being able to message and send photographs to people who weren’t on Apple, etc. The new updates should’ve been ready to go, but they didn’t— YOU MUST CALL YOUR PROVIDER

Typical for Apple.
