New update on ipad has my photo thumbnails so small I can’t see the and I can’t figure out how to enlarge. Please advise. Thank you.

Actually, I just tried this: In Library, I reverse pinched
to make the display 3 across, and then I went down to the Photos screen, and it was also 3 across. Then I exited, closed Photos with the "throwaway" gesture (I don't know what that's really called, if anything,) and re-opened Photos-- the 3 across view was still there!
I did this with the sidebar on and off, and it was the same: my thumbnail zoom stayed 3 across. I did it again with 9 across (which is 13 across without sidebar,) and it remained the new size in the Photos and Library views. I even did a forced power off, and the thumbnail size remained the same.
Is this different for you?
This is so frustrating! Whether I am in Library or Photos, every time I close (swiping from the bottom up as you suggest) and reopen Photos it reverts to the 9 across grid.
Mine continues to revert every time I leave photos for something else. It’s so annoying. Why can’t I set it to be 3 or 5 and have that stick? Ugh.
My iPad has a Home button for exiting apps, not swipe. I can get 3 or 5 but it doesn’t stick when I exit. Has zero to do with MagSafe, internet connection etc. I think it’s a BUG. I’ve sent feedback.
I too am having this problem. No matter what I do Photos reverts to 9 across view on my iPad.
APPLE, please take note of this and fix it so we can select 3 or 5 across as the default view.
