Newest 2024 iMac Mini Connection to HD TV (4K, 120 Hzm 55 inches)

I'm thinking of buying an iMac Mini with 24 GB RAM, 1 TB and connect it with a HD TV via HDMI. I dont want to buy an overpriced TV with unnecessary features but wanted a good quality HD TV on the market as of November 2024. It's just that I want it almost like a one big monitor because I'm tired of having two smaller screens so I hope one 55 inch screen would be cool with the mini. I understand making the settings will make the visual quality possible - dont want it to be pixelated while Im working on MS-Office like Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. and watching movies or YouTube.

Yes you can connect a 55" HDMI TV to the Mac mini and try that.

While it is true that large TV screens are good for movies and videos, beware because they are not as good as computer monitors for up-close detailed text work or fine editing.

Good point! one more question... I often study genealogy on birth/marriage/death records which I have to take a real close look at old script writing and I suppose this HD TV might not do it. I will try to make a test and see what happens.

Try out your current monitor(s) or whatever TV you have and then shop around for a high quality 27" or 32" display if you need something better.

A 4K TV set that size will be like a 2x2 stack of 27.5” 1920x1080 pixel displays. It will not have Retina pixel density, or even as much pixel density as a low-end 24” 1920x1080 monitor.
