Can I transfer my music back to iTunes from Apple Music?

I've been with iTunes for years, but recently appeared that I needed to subscribe to Apple Music in order to continue to add songs, etc., so I subscribed. Now I'm finding out that wasn't necessary but only after I transferred my songs to Apple Music. Can I move the songs back to iTunes so I can unsubscribe from Apple Music? If so, I need a video or step-by-step instructions. I'm on Windows 10.

Uninstall whichever of Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Devices that you have installed. Launch iTunes. Use the media dropdown selector to choose Music. You should see your library as it was before you installed Apple Music.

I asked for instructions on how to transfer music from Apple Music back to my iTunes account. I was told to uninstall the Apple Music app, launch iTunes, and then use the media dropdown selector to choose music - that my library would be there as it was before I installed Apple Music. I don't see a media dropdown selector; therefore, I cannot choose music.

Please advise.

It is the widget near the top left of the iTunes window that typically reads either Audiobooks or Podcasts after installing Apple Music. It doesn't automatically swap back to Music.
