Apple Intelligence & Siri Stops Announcing Calls after upgrade to iOS 18.1.1 on iPhone 15 Pro Max

My IOS just got updated to 18.1.1 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. After the upgrade, Siri i no longer announcing phone call to my AirPod Pro headphones. All my settings look coorect.

Settings -> Apple Intelligence & Siri

Announce Calls -> Head Phones Only

Allow Notifications -> On

Announce Notifications -> Phone -> On

Is there anything else in 18.1.1 that needs to be turned on? Everything was working fine before the upgrade.

Thanks,

Daniel

I changed my Siri setting to Announce Calls Always, to see whether it was working with my iPhone speaker, nad hat was also not working, Called Apple Support, and they suggested to change this setting.

Notifications -> Phone -> Show Preview -> Always

After this change, calls are now announced on my iPhone speakers. Yet to check whether it resolved the issue with AirPods. Will keep you updated.

I have the same problem, iPhone XR, iOS 18.3.1. Spent a couple of hours on the phone with Apple, plus went to the Genius Bar, my AirPods Pro2's checked out, the phone is configured correctly, no luck.

IOS 18.1 broke SIRI for me is my conclusion, making my new AirPods useless.

Note: SIRI does announce calls on my hearing aids, and announces missed calls on my AirPods.
