Inconsistent issue timeline in community topic

How does this community work? I am following a topic but it does not follow a consistent an issue by timeline. It is very difficult to follow the issue. Am I missing something?

I believe know what you are seeing. The voting system has charged, offering the option to rank responses by number of upvotes rather than date/time.


You can globally change that option for most posts by clicking on your avatar in the upper right of any forum page:


and selecting "Preferences." Near the bottom is the option for sorting:



I have found some threads do not behave the way but that is not common.


You can also change the sort order for a single thread by using the little option selector at the beginning of the list of responses. Example:


This thread has been closed by the system or the community team. You may vote for any posts you find helpful, or search the Community for additional answers.
