Hey, I just switched to iOS and I have a problem. Iphone see all my screenshots from samsung as standard photos, which results in the entire gallery being mixed up. I know I could create album and move all screenshots there, but my future screenshots will go to media types/screeshots anyway. I tried to edit metadata and figure out what makes a screenshot for iOS algorithm, but to no avail.

I did a quick test and at least in Ventura screenshots have the following metadata. Photos.app uses either one to decide which image is a screenshot:
'ExifIFD:UserComment=Screenshot'
'XMP-exif:UserComment=Screenshot'
You can add that info to other images with a command like (this command adds just 'ExifIFD:UserComment=Screenshot' which is enough):
exiftool -P -overwrite_original -UserComment=Screenshot image.jpg
Just to add that Photos filters only such .png and .jpg as screenshots. Not images like .heic, .tif or .webp.
