map turns off part way through a trip?
Twice today I was on a map route when maps just went blank and shortly after the phone turned off? I am using iPhone 13

No! I have been using maps for many years and do know that it needs plenty of battery charge and that as it is fully charged every morning and is rarely less that 70% charge at the end of the day.
In both of these incident yesterday (two different trips) the map app shut down after about 10 minutes and shortly after that the phone switched off. The phone still have heaps of charge at the end of the day.
I could even believe that I hit a dead zone, but the incidents were about 50 kms apart, and in each incident I was in a suburban quagmire
