Let us remember that the M3 MBA is a Fan-less computer

Depending on where you are using the computer and only you will know that.

Get a Fan, use it during the cooler periods of the Day or Night

Keep it Off when not in use

It is also dependent on Proper Ventilation and dependent on the Environmental Condition where it is being used

MacBook Air (13-inch, M3, 2024)

  • Operating temperature: 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C)
  • Storage temperature: –13° to 113° F (–25° to 45° C)
  • Relative humidity: 0% to 90% noncondensing

Shutdown the computer and remove from charger

Two options

1 - Have the computer evaluated by the Professionals who have the Special Hardware Software and Expertise to diagnose the issue and offer possible solutions

Make an Appointment at the Apple Genius Bar or call 1 800 MyApple and have them evaluate the computer

Other location Call Centres

Contact Apple for support and service

2 - To avoid a session of Q&A, Q&A  and Q&A

Download the Application Etrecheck ( External Link ) directly from the Developer

You mentioned rightly and thank you for that information

" yesterday I updated my MacOS to Sequoia 15.1 "

Depending on what was previously installed, like macOS 14 Sonoma

It is suggested that there have been some changes that occurred between Sonoma and Sequoia

The more changes that happen the more the computer needs to work on Re-Indexing all the changes

The harder the computer works, the power it will use

The more Power it uses , the more Heat it will generate
