What should I do if my MacBook shows virus alerts?

I picked this up on Quora(Again). No specific program . Appears every minute. How do i get rid of it. Macbook Air 13" 2020, Os Sequoia.

Did you go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Notifications, and remove every website you see there?

There are no known Windows-like Viruses in the wild that self replicate and affect macOS, because of the underling UNIX  Foundation and Permission Limitation. 


The Operating System resides in a Sealed and Read Only Volume that cannot be opened by the User nor by Third Party Applications.

Protecting against malware in macOS


There is Adware & Malware which will affect the computer and is generally downloaded from “ Shady “ Websites or Developers who Inject this software into the download.

What one has now done is to have Pre-Determined that the is Malware installed on this computer


The evidence presented, this far, it a Scam attempting to influence the User ( you ) to Download potential Malware


To affect such actions who Require the User ( you ) to download the malware


Then for the User ( you ) to Give the Malware Permission to Install


That would Require the User ( you ) to give Expressed Consent by Inputing the Computer Password


If that has been done, then that is not on Apple per se but rather, elsewhere, full stop
