Can I downgrade from Sequoia 15.1 to latest Sonoma on an M4 MacBook Pro?

New MacBook Pro M4 since yesterday, runs on Sequoia 15.1. I have problems with data migration from Time Machine, 420 GB data saved from an 11 year old MacBook Pro (late 2013), runs on Catalina, last back-up made yesterday. Can I downgrade my M4 Pro from Sequoia to Sonoma? Hardly any info to be found on that subject.

After transfer to M4: Documents and Music and Downloads are empty folders etc..., Desktop is empty... the apps are mostly there but obviously a lot of them not working (yet).

I had an error alert at the end of the transfer with a user name on Time Machine (first name with a small letter, family name with a capital e.g. john Ford, could that be a reason??).... I already did 2 clean re-installs from the bottom up, including OS, same result... I know it's early days with M4's, anybody out there with suggestions, a workaround...?

Thanks!

No you can't. You can't run a version of macOS earlier than what it shipped with.
