Unable to hop to chrome using spotlight when chrome is in fullscreen mode!

Using spotlight I usually navigate through applications (both opened and closed). Usually if the application is open it takes me to the screen/desktop space where the application is open. But from a few weeks I was unable to do so with my google chrome and IntelliJ Idea IDE when they are in full screen mode. Please help if anyone ever faced with such issues.

Device details:

1. Macbook pro M2 2023 model

Already tried fixes :

1. Force quit and re-open the application
2. Restart Mac
3. Hard restart Mac (30s long press power)
