Yet Another Mac Mini M4 Monitor Question

While awaiting arrival of my M4, I thought I would ask about monitors.

I currently have an Intel (late 2018) mini with an LG Ultrafine 4k display connected to a TB3 port. The display doesn't fully "wake up" after a power off restart. By fully "wake up," I mean that the display remains black after a power off restart. However, the login screen is really there, it's just not visible. If I wait a few seconds after restart, with a blank screen, I can actually type in the login password for the default userid, hit Enter and voila, the display "wakes up" and I am off and running.

So, anticipating that the display is the issue (and not the cable or the port or the Intel mini), I wonder about a suitable replacement. Something not LG, not TB port (HDMI, right?), and not quite Apple Studio $$$ but that comes highly recommended.

Thanks.

Mac mini, macOS 14.6

Does the same thing happen when connected to the HDMI port?

Are you currently using a VESA certified USB-C to DisplayPort cable or a certified USB-C to HDMI cable?

Are you connecting USB-C to USB-C? If so this interface method tends to be troublesome for a variety of reasons.
