I am having issues with my ARM Mac Mini losing data connection to iPhones/iPads when using USB-C to USB-C

Has anyone experienced issues with ARM Mac Minis losing data connection to iPhones/iPads when using USB-C to USB-C?

I've noticed that if I reboot the M1 or M2 mini while using a USB-C to C cable for an iPhone or iPad, the iPhone needs to be reseated to re-establish a data connection (power/charging still occurs). Has anyone else expeinced this?

USB-A to USB-C works fine, but USB-C to USB-C is problematic.

I should mention that I've tried different brands including the apple OEM USB-C to USB-C cable. Also, I emphasize on ARM, as Intel based Macs (Minis, Macbooks) are not experiencing these issues, while the ARM minis (M1, M2), and ARM Macbooks have experienced these issues when using USB-C to USB-C.
