HomePod doesn't allow to setup alarms and timers via Home app

Hi, i tried all options, but still getting the error on Home app that says that alarms and timers are unavailable and will become available when this Homepod is in the same network as iphone.

Homepod (and Homepod mini) are running 18.1 (22J580) and I tried resetting, tried disabling private wi-fi address and limiting tracking of ip address in iphone.

Also tried moving Homepod mini to my office, where i just have a simple wifi router - at home i have wired and wireless network (dhcp provided by wired router, wifi provided by wifi-mesh).

Strangely, alarms and timers used to work before (not changing anything in my home wifi network), but i'm pretty sure Homepod had previous firmware.

Does anyone have any pointers? I must say I'm stuck and very dissapointed that such basic functionality like setting up alarms in Homepod doesn't work. I can use voice (however we're polish speaking so don't expect my kids are super happy about using voice rather than Home app) and all other functionality (homekit devices, automations etc) work.

HomePod, 18
