$2500 in Apple products stolen. Apple courier never delivered.

I ordered 2 Macbooks from Apple Canada and they contracted ubereats to deliver them. Item said delivered to my apartment and they obviously weren't. Driver stole them or delivered to a wrong address and they stole them. They would have had to sign for them. Contacted Apple, they looked into it and came back with "We have completed our review with the carrier regarding your shipment and have determined that we are unable to provide a replacement or process a refund."

After 4 Apple employees told me there was nothing they can do I got a good one. Really helpful and talked to the manager for me. He said I was given bad info by other agents and if i get the police to contact apple they will re-open the investigation.

Problem is Apple wants them to contact them and 3 different police officers are telling me they dont contact people, the company needs to contact them or I need to give Apple the police report #.

A police officer called me and said a cop will visit me in the morning but he said a crime has not really been committed, it's more so missing items.

Any help would be appreciated. It looks like this may not end well for me and I'm extremely worried, do i have any recourse?

Thanks.

Why would apple deliver apple products to you through a food delivery company such as ubereats?

Apple apparently is using Uber Eats to deliver products through the Apple Store 2-hour delivery program. But I have seen a number of complaints about Uber drivers purportedly stealing delivery items. So, not that it helps the original poster, I'd recommend people avoid using Apple's 2-hour delivery and just drive to the Apple Store themselves.

Regards.

We’re not in a position to offer legal advice either.
