Can’t download still from QuickTime without borderers

How do I download a still from QuickTime, without getting white borders or some other kinds of borders. I’ve tried several things unsuccessfully. At best I end up with white borders around the photo. I would like to have the photo without those borders. when I try to edit the still and remove the borders I continue to end with end up with a screenshot ID line across the top of the still.
