When I click on an emoji on a text message sent to me, the sender also with an iPhone receives a text notification from me in Spanish. This started happening after the 18.1 upgrade. My Language & Region is English for the iPhone. I also have French, Portuguese, Swedish, Spanish and Italian. Could this be a new keyboard bug if you have multiple languages set?

Check the “return” key on the lower right corner of your keyboard and the language in use on the space bar. Your emoji responses will be in that language.
Tap the “globe” icon on the lower left corner to change to your preferred language.

Still happening after the update
What about on my iMac. That’s where it’s happening for me and although it’s happening with an iPhone user, there is an Android user in the group chat.
If it was fixed, 18.3 update broke it again because non-iPhone users are back to complaining about my phone teaching them Spanish again. Do we have any new fixes?
I'm having this issue and my phone is up to date. The recipient has an Android and got an Italian explanation of the exclamation marks emoji I reacted to his text. Still looking for a fix for this.
This is still happening to me. I am in 18.4.1 and my keyboard is English. Has anyone been able to resolve?

I'm still on 17.6.1 (yes, I know) and I only have English /US in language & region
Same on iPhone 16 pro with 18.5 update. Just started yesterday on group chats with android and iphone. Messages are in English but reactions are in Spanish
