How do you know she did't know it?

Update to iOS 18.1.1. It has some Lock Screen fixes, pertaining to unlimited guesses without getting a locked phone screen.

3. As it Reads: An attacker in possession of a device may exceed the maximum number of failed passcode attempts

Try iOS Bug Fixes:

1. Backup your computer (to a PC or Mac)
2. Update your iPhone to the last update
3. Restart your iPhone after the update completes
4. and then change the password, once more.
