120fps export on iMovie with iPhone 16 pro max

I just noticed when trying to combine two 120fps files taken on my iPhone 16 pro max that I cannot export any higher than 60fps.

its hard to believe that apple has not updated iMovie for the new hardware, and looking on the App Store, it’s been 5 months since an update, so it hasn’t even been updated for iOS 18.

has anyone heard of any update information or should I abandon using apple software and move to something better.

I’ve contacted apple. They do not have any idea when it will be updated.

thanks

iMovie is absolutely glitchy in 16 pro max! I wasn’t experiencing this in my 13 pro max. It keeps crashing, making the phone oddly heated and shaky screens. It’s too many problems at once. Apple says no complaints from anyone else which is weird. They are suggesting replacement but I m wondering if the OS itself is bad. I honestly want to return this glitchy phone.
